MANCHESTER – 5th April 2022: Gama, a global provider of business information and services specializing in FMCG product innovation and international trade, has today officially opened entries for the latest edition of the Gama Innovation Awards.

The Gama Innovation Awards recognise outstanding innovation in the consumer goods space, with winners to be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony that will take place in Manchester on Thursday 20th October 2022.

Alongside awards for Product, Packaging, Positioning, Branding & Design, Health & Wellness, SME, Best of Britain and Best of Middle East, this year Gama is pleased to announce two new awards that will recognize innovation beyond mainstream FMCG channels, celebrating the very best of innovation in both travel retail and hospitality. The inaugural Travel award will focus on the distinctive innovation taking place in travel and tourism settings, while the inaugural Hospitality award will form a showcase of the latest innovation in hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

Gama can today also reveal the top-drawer panel of international judges who will be tasked with choosing the winning entries from a shortlist of innovative products in each category. Representing some of the leading FMCG firms across the globe, the exciting line-up of judges includes thought leaders from companies such as Kraft Heinz, Coty, Essity, Beam Suntory and PepsiCo, underlining the reputation of the Gama Innovation Awards as a major showcase of global innovation.

In addition, for the first time GICA will be formally recognised for its learning and development value thanks to independent accreditation from the CPD Certification Service, enabling marketing, insights and R&D professionals from across the FMCG industry to build their industry knowledge and acquire certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Entries to the Gama Innovation Awards are open until Tuesday 31st May, and manufacturers are invited to submit their own product innovations for consideration to silvia.ruiz@gamaconsumer.com, in accordance with the entry requirements and qualifying criteria.
