In October 2020, Manchester will again become a focal point for the global consumer goods industry, as the Gama Innovation Conference & Awards  returns to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

As ever, the invitation-only event will begin with the Gama Innovation Conference, bringing together the great and the good from the world of consumer goods for a unique morning of presentations and discussions. The conference will be followed by the Gama Innovation Awards, a celebration of outstanding product innovation from around the world as voted by the leading names in the industry.

Meanwhile, delegates will also have the opportunity to network and get inspired within the Innovation Zone, where up to 40 disruptive companies will be showcasing game-changing launches from all over the world.

Ever evolving to meet the needs of the industry, in 2020 GICA will also be unveiling new features designed to bring start-up and scale-up food businesses, leading global brands and the biggest names in consumer goods retail even closer together, helping delegates to maximise new business opportunities and rapidly cement valuable new partnerships. Check back next year for more details on these exciting new features!

Commenting on the announcement, Gama Founder & CEO Cesar Pereira said: “We are delighted that the Gama Innovation Conference & Awards will be back in 2020 to mark its fifth edition. The event’s longevity is testament to the value it adds to suppliers and retailers from all around the world, and the unique possibilities it offers firms keen to network, meet new partners and take advantage of opportunities to accelerate their business. We are also thrilled that our 2020 edition, as well as celebrating five years of dynamic support to the consumer goods sector, will be offering delegates even more ways to connect and interact in GICA’s trademark exclusive yet informal setting.”

Ian Wright CBE, Chief Executive, Food & Drink Federation said: “GICA is an absolutely brilliant showcase for innovation in the food & drink industry. It’s full of inspiring stories about how businesses are approaching the whole question of disrupting the existing market and growing their businesses, product lines and brands. This event has grown over the years, in particular with the innovation showcase, and it’s a really interesting verdict on Manchester and the Northern Powerhouse and the way in which it is touching every part of the British industry, and in particular the food & drink industry.”
